Description
Inspection manhole cover in ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7 conforming to norm UNI EN 1563:2012
Frame
It is square in shape with an internal circular passage. It comes with an elastomer gasket placed inside its groove, in order to increase stability and eliminate any rocking or noise. The hinge seating of the cover is obtained through casting process. Externally, the outside border is flanged to optimise its hold in the cement mortar and the insertion of anchoring devices.
Cover
Circular in shape, hinged to the frame with maximum opening of 110°; 90° is the safety position (automatic locking), with the possibility of removing it without disassembling the hinge. A high level of stability is guaranteed by self-centring guides placed under the cover on double stops, in correspondence of rectified surfaces the closing system is realized through an elastic bar which performs opening/closing system automatically. The MUS series is equipped with nos. 3 Stainless Steel bolts (DIA 12) that ensure a watertight lock. The upper surface is designed to be non-skid, to allow the complete flow of water and avoid the creation of ice.
